{Data|Information|Info} {Market|Sell|Promot}ing Sales Letters

I{'| a}m going to give you my opinion {about|on} sales letters. Note that every{one|body} in the {info|data|information} products business does{n'| no}t share my opinion! I {believe that|believe|think that} a {marketing|sales|advertising} letter should be as l{engthy|ong} as it {must|needs to|has to} be to sell your {eBook|PDF|e-book}. Some {other folks|people|other people} who{ ha|'}ve been in this business even longer than I have are {certain|convinced|of the opinion} that a{n advertising| promotional| sales} letter should be as short as p{ossible |ractical|racticable}.

"My {electronic book|eBook|PDF} has all {of |}the {info|information}, and it does{n'| no}t need a long, drawn out {rationaliz|explan|clarific}ation of the {topic|subject} in a sales letter" is their take on the {matter|problem}.

They {think|believe|suspect} that {buyer|client|customer}s are{n'| no}t {keen on|fond of} the long {sort|type|form} of sales letters, either, {say|claim}ing that all that wordiness turns {folks|people|folk} off, makes them less {certain|sure|likely} to buy, and say - "Besides {folks|folk|people} never read all that crap, anyway."
Are they right? Is it a waste of {time|your time} to craft a long and detailed {marketing|advertising|sales} letter? Will it {real|tru|actual}ly make {people|folks|folk} not {desire|want|need} to {buy|purchase} your product?

The sales letters for the {3|three} eBooks I just had to {purchase|get|buy} {so as |in order |}to check {up |}on my competition ALL had long, {concern|involv}ed sales letters which had sentences that {gent|soft|careful}ly {entreat|counsel|urg}ed {people|folks|folk} to buy sp{atter|rinkl|latter}ed among paragraphs which told {folks|folk|people} why they {need|requir|want}ed this{ actual| particular|} {electronic book|eBook|PDF}, and what it {could|might|may} do for them.

If it{'s true| is true|'s correct} that long sales letters make {folks|people|folk} not {want|wish|need} to buy {info|information} products, in my not-so-humble opinion No{ one|body} knows it! Check out {the majority|almost all|most} of the top selling eBooks online, and you{ wi|'}ll see that {pretty much|just about|nearly} every one of them have long, {concern|involv}ed sales letters.
